What is Girls League Tag?

In 2019 a dedicated Girls League Tag comp launched in the North Sydney district.

 

Girl's League Tag registrations are now open. Seeking girls aged 10 - 16 years old to be part of one of Australia's fastest growing sports.

 

Register with your favourite local club, lace up your boots and get out on the field to have fun with your tag footy mates!

 

Game Day: Saturdays

 

Round 1 2023: Saturday 22nd April

U11 have 8 players per team on the field at a time to ensure plenty of smiles and that everyone gets their turn with the ball.

The essential info:

  • 2 x 20 minute halves

  • 6 tags in a set.

  • Pass twice in every play.

  • Dummy Half wears a Pink Vest and First Receiver wears a Yellow Vest. Both players can run the ball, be tagged and not turnover the ball to the opposing team.

  • 1 marker

  • Goal conversion kicks.

  • Kicking is allowed in play but no bombs allowed.

U13 & U15s have 11 players per team on the field at a time.

The essential info:

  • 2 x 25 minute halves

  • 6 tags in a set

  • No minimum passes

  • 0-2 markers

  • Goal conversion kicks.

  • Kicking is allowed in play

More details:

Games are played on Saturday & Sunday and the season runs from Saturday April till August.

Games are played at varying venues across the Manly/North Sydney area.

All players must wear rugby boots.

All players receive in their registration pack a playing jersey, special velcro tag shorts and socks. Plus includes player insurance and PlayNRL Rewards which entitles the player, coach and all registered volunteers to 1 FREE ticket to every round of the Telstra NRL Premiership.
